RAMKeeper for Mac

What it shows

• macOS's own memory pressure, green / yellow / red, with a live sparkline and swap usage.
• Memory attributed per app, not per process. Browser and Electron helpers are grouped under the parent app, so a wall of unnamed "Helper (Renderer)" rows becomes "Google Chrome, 34 processes, peak 4.2 GB".
• Current usage next to the peak for the session, so an app that has already ballooned and come back down is still visible.
• Known repeat offenders are tagged automatically.

What it can do (PRO)

• Focus Mode suspends a batch of heavy background apps in one click. They stop allocating and stop competing for CPU, and because their pages go untouched they become the first thing macOS compresses out. Exit and everything resumes exactly where it was: nothing is quit, nothing is lost.
• Gentle restart asks an app to quit normally, so it gets a chance to save, then reopens it. This is the action that genuinely hands memory back.
• Guardrails come first. The app in the foreground and system processes are never touched, and every action asks before it acts.

What it will not do

• RAMKeeper does not invent a "memory cleaned" number. Suspending an app does not instantly free its memory, and the app says so rather than claiming otherwise. Every action records what macOS reported before and after, so when an action did little, the log says it did little.
